A group of companies of ТМ “Vilia” has started the active harvesting of grain, leguminous and technical crops. The harvesting started at “SBE Ukraina Rivne” on 02.07.2016 starting with winter barley. The threshing of barley showed good quality of preparation of combines in winter, it was worked out the technique on it, taking into consideration requirements of agronomic service of the company to harvesting and grinding of straw.
Due to faster ripening from other cereals, winter barley almost did not feel the harmful effects of the June heat, and we received the planned harvest:
Sort Lomerit (600 ha) – 78,5 cwt/ha;
Sort Naomi (30 ha) – 84 cwt/ha;
Sort Titus (30 ha) – 79 cwt/ha.
Favorable weather conditions in April and May allowed to obtain a powerful stem standing of pea plants that did not sow and managed to yield a record harvest of 50-52 hundredweight per hectare on the Astronaut and Salamanca sorts of the Lembke breed. The peas are threshed at an average yield of 44 hundredweight per hectare.
Harvesting of winter rape is going on. It should be mentioned that even in the conditions of rare sprouts and insufficient autumn development of rape, the yields are within the optimal economic range: the worst areas give a yield of 24-30 hundredweight per hectare and the best 40-44 hundredweight per hectare. As a result, winter rape remains stable and predictable; it can safely secure 20% of the crop area in crop rotation, taking into account its good qualities as a predecessor for winter wheat.
As to the wheat, its harvesting has already begun at the companies of “SBE Ukraina Volyn” and “V. Prometei “, which are located in Polis’ka and Transitional with the Forest-steppe zones. According to the first results of the harvest, it is already clear that due to high temperatures during the pouring of grain, the lack of harvest will be minus 15-20% of the plan on sandy soils and minus 10-15% on the loam. However, high temperatures have had a positive effect on the quality of the grain. The Mulan sort provides the third class, and according to the Azano sort, the rates correspond to the second class of grain.
